I'm dealing with lichen planus pigmentosus on my underarms and inner thighs and it's starting to spread. I'm really concerned about how to actually address these marks and what the best treatment options are for lichen planus. Can you help me understand how I can stop it from spreading and get rid of these brown marks?

Lichen planus pigmentosus (LPP) can be challenging to treat, but various options are available.
Treatment Options
- Topical corticosteroids: Reduce inflammation and slow down the spread.
- Topical retinoids: Help reduce pigmentation and prevent further darkening.
- Hydroquinone creams: Fade brown marks and hyperpigmentation.
- Chemical peels: Exfoliate the skin, reducing pigmentation.
- Laser therapy: Targeted treatment to reduce pigmentation and inflammation.
Preventing Spreading
- Avoid scratching: Scratching can cause further inflammation and spreading.
- Keep the area moisturized: Dry skin can exacerbate LPP.
- Avoid irritants: Steer clear of harsh soaps, detergents, and fragrances.
Fading Brown Marks
- Sun protection: Avoid prolonged sun exposure, and use sunscreen with at least SPF 30.
- Skin-lightening creams: Containing ingredients like hydroquinone, kojic acid, or azelaic acid.
- Chemical peels and laser therapy: Can help reduce pigmentations

I noticed a light black-brown vertical line on my left thumb today. I don't recall injuring it, but I'm pretty certain it wasn't there before. There's no pain or anything. Could this be something serious?
Likely to be a benign condition known as a splinter hemorrhage. It is usually harmless but can sometimes indicate an underlying medical condition. I recommend monitoring it for any changes in size or color. If you notice any changes or if it persists, you may consider consulting a dermatologist. There is no specific medication for this condition."

I'm wondering if it's safe to use Kz soap on my hair for dandruff. I know it has ketoconazole, so I'm curious if it's effective and okay to use for that purpose. What do you think?
