I'm dealing with this really annoying issue where I seem to burp more than 50 times a day. It's like every time I eat, I burp a bunch of times and even when I'm not eating, it happens like 23 times an hour. I'm just trying to understand what's going on. What could be causing so much burping?

I'm experiencing these random single hiccups scattered throughout the daylike just one hiccup at a time but occurring maybe 10 or 15 times daily. They're quiet too. I've noticed them every day for the past three weeks. I know I have acid reflux and anxiety, but aside from that, I'm a healthy and active 23-year-old female. I'm really curious if having just one hiccup multiple times a day is considered persistent. Can you shed some light on this?

Single, random hiccups throughout the day arent typically classified as persistent hiccups, which usually last over 48 hours continuously. However, since theyve been ongoing daily for weeks, its worth discussing with a doctor, especially given your acid reflux and anxiety, as these could be contributing factors.

I've been struggling with high bilirubin levels for a couple of years now, and I'm feeling quite worried. The doctors checked for gallstones with an ultrasound and didn't find any. They said I need to follow a good diet, but my bilirubin levels went from 1.8 to 2.2 and haven't improved. What could be causing this, and what kind of treatment should I consider? Could it be something other than diet? I have my lab reports if that helps.

High bilirubin levels can be concerning, especially if they have been persisting for 2 years despite following a good diet and ruling out gallstones in the bladder. One possible treatment option to help lower bilirubin levels is to use Ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA). UDCA can help improve bile flow and reduce the amount of bilirubin in the blood. It is important to follow up with your doctor regularly to monitor the effectiveness of the treatment and make any necessary adjustments.

I've noticed a lump just below my rib on the right side, and its really uncomfortable, especially when I try to lie on that side. It kind of feels like somethings pushing against my rib. What could this possibly be? Should I be concerned?

It sounds like you may have a lump or swelling near your rib, which could be due to various causes such as a muscle strain, benign growth, or inflammation. I recommend seeing a doctor for a physical examination and possibly some imaging tests to determine the cause and get appropriate treatment.
