I'm dealing with something that's a bit of a nuisance right now, and I'm just trying to figure it out. Is it normal for post nasal drip to cause a cough? It's been bothering me, and I need to understand if there's a link between the two.

Ever since I've been dealing with phlegm, it feels like there's a farm of it in my throat. It's constant and makes talking tough at times. How can I permanently get rid of this phlegm issue?
That could be Pharyngitis or Bronchitis which is causing phlegm,do salt water gargling twice daily and consume warm food.

I keep getting pain on the right side of my throat and sometimes it's hard to talk. I also feel like vomiting and the muscles in that area keep pulling. The doctor said it might be because of tonsils and suggested surgery. What will happen if I don't get my tonsils removed?
I understand your symptoms. However I would need some more details to get a clear idea of what you are going through 1. The duration of your symptoms and the severity of pain 2. Associated ear pain, cold or cough 3. Any symptoms of acidity or reflux as this is a very common cause of throat pain
