I'm dealing with tonsil stones for the past year and I've noticed some small stones in my tonsils. I've managed to remove a few, but can't get rid of the ones on the outer part. Sometimes it feels like something's stuck in my throat, but I don't have any ear pain, fever, swelling, or sore throat. The only issue is a dry throat. What should I do next? How can I relieve this problem without surgery? I've been gargling with Betadine daily. Could this be chronic tonsillitis? Any advice would be really helpful.

Consult an ENT specialist to rule out underlying conditions like allergies, sinusitis, or non-allergic rhinitis. Consider:
- Allergy testing
- Nasal endoscopy
- Imaging tests (CTMRI scans)
Continue medications as prescribed, and explore additional measures like humidifiers, saline nasal sprays, and avoiding irritants.

View allI'm struggling with a really bad cough because of what I think is post-nasal drip from allergies, and I'm not sure who to see. Should I go to an ENT specialist or is a pulmonologist better for something like this? I'm just trying to figure out the best route for treatment.

How long do I need to take homeopathy medicines for a vocal polyp? I was diagnosed with a polyp and the ENT recommended surgery but I'm exploring homeopathy treatment options first. Can you advise on how effective it is and the usual duration for treatment?

I've been dealing with this strange issue where one nostril is always blocked, but it switches sides every now and then. Thing is, I don't have a cold or the flu or anything like that. It's been going on for about six months now. A few doctors have mentioned it could be an allergy, while others think it's sinusitis. I'm just really confused and would like to know what might be really causing this. Any insights?
It sounds like you may be experiencing symptoms of chronic rhinosinusitis. This condition can cause alternating nostril blockage without the presence of a cold or flu. I recommend using a nasal corticosteroid spray like Flonase (fluticasone) to help reduce inflammation and improve airflow. You can use 2 sprays in each nostril once daily. Additionally, using a saline nasal spray like Ocean Spray can help keep your nasal passages moist and clear. Make sure to stay hydrated and consider using a humidifier in your room to help with congestion. If symptoms persist, it's best to follow up with an ENT specialist for further evaluation and management.
