I'm experiencing a lot of pain when I'm sitting, and my recent MRI showed my liver is enlarged to 22.3 with 52% fat. The pain has moved to the top of my ribs on the right side. I also got an X-ray, and Ive attached the image here. I don't feel much pain when I'm sleeping, standing, or walking, but sitting is really tough. Plus, I've noticed that the left side of my stomach feels kind of loose, while the right side is pretty tight. What could be going on?

I'm a bit puzzled about something my doctor mentioned during my check-up. They said I had a "soft abdomen." What exactly does that mean? Is it something I should be worried about or follow up on?

I'm really puzzled right now. I recently finished a course of Flagyl for what my gi doctor suspected was giardia since I was having diarrhea, stomach pains, and nausea. So today, I had a plain hamburger with some ketchup and cheetos, and my diarrhea came back for about 2 hours. I'm trying to figure out why this happened. Could it be something about the food I ate, or is there another issue I might be dealing with?

The return of diarrhea after eating could be related to the foods you ate or your bodys ongoing recovery from the giardiasis infection. Monitor your symptoms and adjust your diet accordingly. If symptoms dont improve or if they worsen, consider following up with your doctor to rule out any underlying issues or complications.

My dad's SGPT levels came back at 125, and I'm really worried about what this means for his health. Is this something serious? Could it indicate liver damage, and if so, how can we go about treating it? I'm really anxious to know more about how we can get this under control.

To address this, it is important to identify and treat the underlying cause. I recommend consulting a doctor for further evaluation and management. In the meantime, you can consider giving him Ursodeoxycholic acid. Additionally, encourage him to follow a healthy diet, avoid alcohol, and maintain a healthy lifestyle to support liver health.
