I'm experiencing this really frustrating issue where my skin starts itching about 45 days after I eat things like tur dal or chana dal. It's not just itching eitherthere's noticeable swelling, and it's super irritating. I've been taking cetirizine tablets to help with the itching, but they leave me feeling dizzy afterwards. Is there anything else I can do to manage these symptoms, or should I be avoiding certain foods altogether? I'm just not sure what steps to take next.

Here's a step-by-step approach to help you manage this issue:

Identifying the Cause

  1. Food allergy or intolerance: It's possible that you have a food allergy or intolerance to certain legumes like tur dal and chana dal.
  2. Histamine release: Cetrizine helps alleviate itching, but the dizziness side effect suggests that histamine release might be a contributing factor.

Dietary Changes

  1. Elimination diet: Try removing tur dal, chana dal, and other potential allergenic foods from your diet for 2-3 weeks to see if symptoms improve.
  2. Food diary: Keep a food diary to track which foods trigger itching and swelling.

I've been noticing that whenever I touch something colder than the usual temperature, I start to sneeze. It's also happening with the early morning breeze sometimes, giving me that sneezing sensation. Is this something I should be concerned about or is it just a common reaction?

Chronic cold and cough can be frustrating. Considering your allergy-like symptoms, possible causes include: - Allergies (dust, pollen, pet dander) - Environmental factors (pollution, tobacco smoke) - Sinusitis or respiratory infections For relief, try: - Antihistamines (e.g., cetirizine, loratadine) - Decongestants (e.g., pseudoephedrine) - Nasal sprays (e.g., saline, oxymetazoline) - Drinking plenty of fluids - Using a humidifier Consult a doctor or allergist to determine the underlying cause and receive personalized guidance.

I'm allergic to eggs and it's really frustrating. Every time I have something with eggs, like stuff from the Pasty Cake Bakery, I get this awful abdominal pain that just won't go away, even after taking medicine. Some people think I'm just imagining it, but I'm pretty sure it's real. What's weird is that sometimes I get the same pain after having cheese or paneer dishes at certain restaurants. I havent eaten eggs in the last 25 years, but now I'm thinking about trying them again. What do you suggest? Are there specific foods I should stay away from? And is there any chance this allergy could be cured?

If you have a confirmed egg allergy, it's safer to continue avoiding eggs and egg-based products, even if you haven't eaten them for a long time. If you feel the urge to try eggs again, its best to consult an allergist first. They may advise you on how to approach it, and you may even undergo treatment like oral immunotherapy in some cases, but that requires professional supervision.

I'm kind of worried about my health stuff lately. My weight's at 84.3 kg and I've been having this chest discomfort for about two years now. Last year, I saw a pulmonologist and got some tests done like an X-ray, CBP, IGE serum, and PFT. Everything was normal except my IGE serum level, which was 432.2 IUml. The doctor prescribed me Tab.FM 24 to take every night, but I never ended up using it. Do you think I should start taking the tablet again if my IGE level turns out to be high? And what are the symptoms of having a high IGE level?

Patient is advised tab augmentin duo 625 mg ,orally, thrice daily for 7 days, tab levocetrizine 10 mg bedtime for 5 days and syrup salbutamol 10 ml thrice dailly for 7 days .
