I'm experiencing a weird sound in my right ear every now and then. It kind of sounds like a motor running or a continuous 'gu gu gu' noise. I can't quite figure it out. It mostly happens when I'm trying to sleep, and sometimes it just stops on its own. I'm really confused about what's going on. Any idea what this could be?

The whooshing sound in sync with your heartbeat is likely due to:
- Pulsatile tinnitus
- Eustachian tube dysfunction
- Vascular issues (e.g., abnormal blood flow)
Consult an ENT specialist or an audiologist for a thorough evaluation and diagnosis.

View allI'm dealing with a really bad throat infection and my doctor prescribed Azithromycin 500 mg for 5 days. I'm a bit worried about taking antibiotics for that long. Is it really okay to take Azithromycin for 5 days straight? Does it help with throat infections, or should I be looking out for anything in particular while I'm on it?
Azithromycin 500mg is prescribed for 3 days for most bacterial infections, but a 5-day course may be recommended for certain conditions, such as streptococcal pharyngitis (strep throat); since your doctor has prescribed it for 5 days for your throat infection, it's likely appropriate, but always follow their instructions and complete the full course.

I've been dealing with this annoying pricking sensation in my throat, and it's really starting to bother me. It's right at the front on the right side and only seems to happen when I swallow my saliva. Im not sure what could be causing this. Could it be something serious or just a minor issue? Id love to hear your thoughts on this.
That could be mucosal congestion no need to worry, consume warm food and sip warm liquids for a better result

I'm hearing this strange sound, like breathing, coming from my left ear. I tried holding my breath, but the sound didn't stop. What could this be? Should I be worried?
Hearing your breathing in your ear can be caused by a condition called patulous Eustachian tube dysfunction so consult ent surgeon for the same
