I'm feeling a bit concerned about a swollen lymph node under my chin. It's tender to touch and has been swollen for about 45 days. This isn't the first time it's happened its come up once or twice a year in the same spot but eventually goes away. Im just really tired of dealing with it. I had a head cold about three weeks ago but other than that, I'm a healthy 27-year-old and take pretty good care of myself. Can you help me figure out what's going on?

Persistent urinary symptoms can be frustrating.

Test results:

  1. Normal sugar test: Rules out diabetes.
  2. Normal urine routine and culture: No signs of urinary tract infection (UTI).
  3. Normal abdominal ultrasound: No visible issues with kidneys, bladder, or urinary tract.

Current treatment:

  1. Pyridium 200: Relieves burning sensation.
  2. Citra soda and K cit syrup: Helps with urinary alkalization.

Possible causes:

  1. Interstitial cystitis (IC) : A chronic condition causing bladder pressure and urinary frequency.
  2. Overactive bladder (OAB) : A condition leading to frequent urination.
  3. Urethral stricture or narrowing: A possible cause of urinary frequency and burning sensation.

Next steps:

  1. Consult a urologist: Discuss your symptoms and test results with a urology specialist.
  2. Further testing: Your urologist may recommend additional tests, such as:
    • Cystoscopy
    • Urodynamic studies
    • Imaging tests (e.g., CT scan)
  3. Alternative treatments: Your urologist may suggest alternative treatments, such as:
    • Bladder training
    • Pelvic floor exercises
    • Medications for IC or OAB

My dad was admitted about a week ago. His white blood cell count was 16,800, but it's normal now. However, the Widal test came back positive at 1:160. He's on treatment with Pipzo 4.5g injections, Pantop, Ns 500ml, Nurostar injections, and taking Calpol 650 and Cefuroxime 500 twice a day. Is this the right approach? I'm a bit worried and could use some guidance.
