Dissolvable sutures are more convenient and avoid removal—wisdom tooth surgery usually takes 30–45 minutes.

View allI noticed a white patch on the right side of my tongue that extends to the floor of my mouth, about 2.5 cm in size. I saw an oncologist who recommended laser surgery costing around 10k with admission, but another oncologist suggested excision with frozen section and a 2-day hospital stay for about 2 lakhs, plus extracting my lower 8th tooth. I'm confused should I go with an oncologist or an ENT specialist for this?
ENT or oncologist both manage such lesions; decision depends on biopsy results, margins, and surgical expertise required.
