I'm getting ready for my right inguinal hernia surgery soon but I'm not sure if I should shave my groin area before the procedure. Also, I've been having pain all around that area and in my testicles what kind of ultrasound would be best to check that out?

It’s best to avoid riding for at least 2–3 weeks post-hernia surgery to prevent strain and ensure proper healing.

I've been dealing with a fistula in ano for the last four months and my doctor recommended surgery. Is there any way to treat this without going under the knife? I'm 30 and really worried about the procedure are there other options that could work for me?
Some low-grade fistulas heal with Ksharasutra (Ayurvedic) or antibiotics—but surgery is usually curative and best long-term.

I have an 11 mm supra umbilical hernia and need to decide between laparoscopic surgery with 2 ports and a 10-15 mm incision or open surgery. Both seem to have similar pain levels post-op. From a medical standpoint, which option would be better for me?
For an 11 mm supraumbilical hernia, laparoscopic surgery with two ports and a 10-15 mm incision is generally considered the better option from a medical standpoint. While both approaches can result in similar post-operative pain levels, laparoscopic repair typically leads to a faster recovery, a lower risk of complications, and potentially better cosmetic outcomes
