I'm having some trouble with my penis foreskin and noticed there are these red rashes on the foreskin and glans area. It's been really painful and the skin's super dry, been like this for about six days now. Can you suggest any medication or treatment for this?

I'm really struggling with a ringworm infection that's been going on for about 45 months. I've seen a doctor, but he mentioned that I need to take oral medication to clear it up. The problem is, I'm breastfeeding my baby, so I'm hesitant to go that route. I've been using the creams the doctor prescribed, but they just dont seem to be effective anymore. Could you suggest any other options or advice on how to manage this while still breastfeeding? I'm really worried about it not improving.

Since you are breastfeeding, oral antifungal medications are not recommended. You can try using an antifungal cream like Clotrimazole 1% cream twice a day for 4-6 weeks. Make sure to keep the affected area clean and dry, and avoid sharing personal items to prevent spreading the infection. If the ringworm does not improve with the cream, you may need to consult your doctor for further evaluation and treatment options.
