I'm having trouble sleeping because every time I'm about to fall into a deep sleep, I feel short of breath, almost like I'm having an attack, and it wakes me up suddenly. It's really interrupting my sleep and I'm starting to get worried. I'm not getting enough rest at night, and it's only made worse by a bit of nasal congestion. What could be going on?

I've been dealing with a wet cough for the last three years, but I haven't noticed any other symptoms like fever, unexpected weight loss, or feeling sick generally. I'm really concerned whether this could be tuberculosis. Could you suggest what tests I should consider for diagnosing TB? Also, does the Quantiferon Gold TB test effectively diagnose TB with just one test?
