I'm just a bit worried here. My girlfriend and I had unprotected sex last night, and we read somewhere that eating papaya can help prevent pregnancy. She had some about 20 hours after we did it. Is there any truth to this? Can papaya actually help in preventing pregnancy?

Exercising with an Anal Fissure

Possible Benefits

  1. Increased blood flow: Exercise can improve blood circulation, promoting healing and reducing pain.
  2. Relaxation and stress relief: Regular physical activity can help manage stress, which may contribute to anal fissure symptoms.

Precautions and Considerations

  1. Avoid exacerbating activities: Steer clear of exercises that may worsen the fissure, such as:
    • Heavy lifting or bending
    • High-impact activities (e.g., running, jumping)
    • Exercises that put direct pressure on the anal area (e.g., squats, lunges)
  2. Choose low-impact exercises: Opt for low-impact activities that promote relaxation and don't exacerbate the fissure:
    • Yoga
    • Swimming
    • Cycling
    • Brisk walking
  3. Listen to your body: If you experience increased pain or discomfort during or after exercise, stop immediately and consult your doctor.

Consult Your Doctor

Before resuming exercise, consult your doctor to:

  1. Assess fissure severity: Determine the extent of the fissure and any potential complications.
  2. Discuss safe exercises: Get personalized guidance on exercises that are safe for your condition.
  3. Develop a treatment plan: Work with your doctor to create a comprehensive treatment plan, including exercise, diet, and medication (if necessary).

I've been dealing with PCOD and haven't had my period for three months. Now I've got my period, but it's really heavy and I'm experiencing a lot of stomach pain. I'm stuck at home due to the lockdown and can't see a doctor for the next couple of days. Do you think this is normal, and is there anything I can do to manage the pain or bleeding until I can get to a doctor? I'm really worried.

I have a 9.6x9.8x9 cm posterior intramural fibroid but my menstrual cycle is normal at 28-30 days with no heavy bleeding, pain, or other symptoms. We're trying to conceive and all other pregnancy-related tests came back normal. Should I consider surgery before trying to get pregnant, or is it safe to attempt conception first and opt for surgery later if needed? I'm worried about how the fibroid might affect my uterus for pregnancy.

A detailed evaluation will help decide the best course of action.
