View allI've had a popped out navel about one inch wide for the last 5 years but the past 6 months it's been painful. For the last two weeks, I can only eat small amounts of food if I eat more, the pain around my navel gets worse and I feel like vomiting. Is this something that needs surgery right away or can I wait until next year? Also, how much would the surgery cost?
Given the pain, inability to eat, vomiting, and the fact that the hernia is no longer reducible, urgent surgery is recommended to prevent complications like strangulation of the intestine. Waiting could lead to severe consequences, including the need for emergency surgery, which is often more expensive and risky. Surgery cost can vary widely depending on several factors, so it's best to discuss this with your doctor and the surgical team

I was declared unfit during my IAF medical checkup due to a condition that has no symptoms like pain or bleeding. They advised against any surgery and gave me one month for a remedical. Is there a chance this can improve without an operation? What are my options to get cleared in the next medical?
surgery opinion is advised to the patient
