I'm noticing some swelling veins in my penis and I'm wondering if this might cause any problems down the line. I'm feeling a bit of discomfort in my penis and left leg because of this. What could be causing this, and should I be concerned?

My husband just had a urine test, and his epithelial cell count came back as 810. He had appendicitis surgery about 3 years ago, but he's been experiencing some pain in his lower abdomen recently.
