I'm planning to get my dad's cataract surgery done at Narayana Netralaya in Rajajinagar, Bangalore. Could you recommend the best doctor there for this procedure? I know it's subjective, but I'd really appreciate your opinion on who might be the top specialist for this surgery.

I'm an ophthalmologist with a posterior polar cataract and it's really affecting my work. I struggle during surgeries and it's making me depressed. Other doctors recommend surgery but I don't want to lose my accommodation before turning 35. What are my options to manage this without surgery right now?
A posterior polar cataract can impair surgical work and needs careful timing.Speak to an ophthalmologist about safer timing and interim solutions like glasses.

Had PRK surgery 5 months ago and my right eye is fine but my left eye stays blurry unless I use lubricant drops - vision gets clear for a bit then goes back to being fuzzy. My left eye is at 69 before drops. Why does it keep doing this and is it normal after PRK?
It's normal to experience some degree of blurred vision after PRK surgery, especially if the vision is fluctuating and improving with lubricant drops. However, five months post-surgery, it's important to investigate why this persists and discuss it with your eye doctor. While individual healing rates can vary, persistent blurriness and dependence on drops warrant further evaluation.
