I'm really anxious about septoplasty surgery and the idea of packing scares me because I can't breathe through my mouth. Is it possible to have the procedure without packing? Comfort is really important to me and I'm willing to pay extra for that. How do surgeons usually handle cases like mine?

For the past 12 years, I've had this issue where one nostril is always blocked while the other works, and they keep switching throughout the day. I also get frequent colds and nasal congestion almost 15 days every month. Right now, I rely on Allegra, saline sprays, and Flutira decongestants, but it's not a permanent fix. Could this be something that surgery can cure? What's the best long-term treatment for this?
