I'm really concerned about my dad, who needs to get an angiography. He's got high blood pressure and diabetes, and he's already really anxious about the test. I'm worried about how painful the procedure might be for him, and if getting scared during the test could lead to any serious issues given his BP condition. Any advice?

I'm 18 and just found out I have mitral valve prolapse and Marfan syndrome my doctor recommended open heart surgery to fix the valve. I'm really nervous and wanted to ask what the chances of something going wrong are during the surgery
Open-heart surgery for mitral valve prolapse in Marfan syndrome carries some risk but is generally safe when done at a cardiac center with experience.

Hey, I was diagnosed with mild mitral valve regurgitation prolapse back in 2010 and took medication for a couple of years. I had a follow-up in 2014 and was told everything was fine and there was nothing to worry about moving forward. Should I still be going for consultations, or is it fine if I don't? Just thinking about whether I need to keep up with any checks or if it's okay not to.
yes .cardiac opinion once a year.
