I'm really concerned about my hair loss and I'm wondering if it's possible for telogen effluvium and female pattern hair loss to overlap, and if so, can this be treated or cured? Also, what exactly causes these issues with hair loss? It's really been bothering me and I would love some insights or advice on what to do next.

Telogen effluvium is usually triggered by stress, illness, or hormonal changes, while female pattern hair loss is often genetic. To treat Telogen effluvium, minoxidil solution can be used twice daily on the scalp. For female pattern hair loss, medications like finasteride can be prescribed to help slow down hair loss and promote hair regrowth. It is important to address the underlying causes and follow a consistent treatment plan for best results.

I've recently noticed some white patches on my bum, just below the waist area. I'm 21 years old and I'm a bit concerned about what this could be. Is it something I should be worried about? What could be causing this, and should I see a doctor?

Thrombophobe cream for local application atleast 7-14 days is advised to the patient once daily.

I've noticed that my fingernails used to have lunula, but now it seems like only my thumbs still have them, and even those are shrinking. I've heard that lunula is a sign of good health. What can I do to get them back? I'm a bit worried about what this means for my health.

See a specialist for accurate diagnosis and targeted treatment.

I've been struggling with this ringworm for about 45 days now. At first, I thought it was just something minor, but after about 30 days, I figured out its actually ringworm. I'm using itchguard cream for temporary relief is this safe or should I be concerned? Would love to hear your advice on this.

Itchguard cream, containing clotrimazole, is an antifungal medication that can help treat ringworm, so using it temporarily is likely beneficial in reducing symptoms and fighting the infection; however, for optimal results and to ensure the infection is fully cleared, consider consulting a dermatologist for a comprehensive diagnosis and guidance on treatment duration and potential oral antifungal medications.
