I'm really concerned because I had tympanoplasty surgery 20 days ago, and my doctor has strictly advised me not to cough for 2 months. It's really hard to avoid coughing completely. I've been trying everythinglike taking steam, drinking turmeric water or milk, gargling with salt water, only drinking hot water, and staying away from cold foods. But I'm still coughing a bit and it's stressing me out. Is there anything else I can try to help with this?

Persistent throat pain and hiccups can be concerning. Consider:
Immediate Action
- Revisit your doctor: Inform your new ENT doctor about the hiccups and discuss possible connections to the medication.
- Adjust medication: Your doctor may prescribe alternative medications or adjust the dosage to alleviate hiccups.
Hiccup Relief
- Breathe deeply: Hold your breath for 10 seconds, then exhale slowly.
- Gargle: Gargle with water to stimulate your vagus nerve.
- Apply pressure: Press your fingers into your diaphragm to help stop hiccups.
Monitoring
- Track hiccups: Record frequency, duration, and any potential triggers.
- Seek immediate attention: If you experience difficulty breathing, severe abdominal pain, or persistent hiccups lasting more than 3 hours.

View allI'm a bit worried because I've been having some pain and swelling on the right side of my neck where a lymph node is located. I went for an FNAC test, and the report says there's a right submandibular swelling, but the stain for AFB is negative. The findings mentioned something about a necrotizing granulomatous lesion. I'm really anxious about what this means. Could you help me understand this condition a bit better and let me know if it's something I could pass on to others?
Pulmonologist opinion is advised to the patient.

I've recently had earwax removed, but since then, I've been feeling a lot of pressure and fullness, especially in my right ear. It feels like I need to put my finger in there and stretch it to get some relief. It's like there's an itch or a constant urge to wiggle the inside of my ear as if it's swollen. My hearing has definitely improved after the wax removal, but this pressure is bothering me, mostly in the right ear and occasionally in the left. I've been using Ciplox ear drops for about a week now. Is this normal? Should I be taking any precautions or consider any other treatment? I'm getting a bit worried about it. Would appreciate your advice.

I'm really worried because I've had a throat infection for the past week. This seems to happen whenever I stop taking the Almox 500 capsules that I've been on for a while now. I went to a doctor, but it didn't really make a difference. What could be going on? Is there something else I should be doing?
You seem to be suffering from condition known as chronic tonsillitis which usually presents with recurrent attacks of throat pain and difficulty in swallowing. You may need to take antibiotics and painkillers along with antiseptic mouth gargle for few days for faster recovery
