I'm experiencing some numbness around my left ear and there's also this persistent pain in it. I'm really starting to worry about what this could be. Do you have any idea what might be causing this? Also, which type of doctor should I see about it?

View allI'm really concerned because I've been able to see my epiglottis for about a month now, and it seems like it's sitting really high. I'm not having any issues with breathing, swallowing, or speaking, but I'm still worried about why this is happening. Will it go away on its own, or is there something I should be doing to help it get back to normal? Any advice would be appreciated.
You may be experiencing epiglottitis, which is inflammation of the epiglottis. In adults, epiglottitis is usually caused by a bacterial infection. It is important to seek medical attention for proper evaluation and treatment. Antibiotics such as Ceftriaxone or Cefotaxime may be prescribed to treat the infection. In severe cases, hospitalization and intravenous antibiotics may be necessary. It is important to follow up with your healthcare provider for monitoring and management of your condition.

I'm having an issue with my uvula. It seems unusually long and stretched out, and feels almost like there's something stuck in my throat when there isn't. Sometimes it makes me gag randomly. Is this something I should be worried about?
