I'm really concerned because I've been smoking cigarettes for over 5 years now, and I've started having problems with a persistent cough and phlegm. I'm wondering if there's anything I could do to help with these issues besides quitting smoking?

View allI've been having some issues with my breathing, and it feels like I'm choking when I cough. This has been going on for the past week. Before this, I'd been dealing with a cough for about 10 days. I'm taking medication prescribed by my doctor, but it doesn't seem to be helping at all. What could be going on, and should I be doing something different to get relief?
Take amoxclav 625 mg BD for 5 days , sinarets tab for 5 days and syrup ascoril 5ml trice a day

I'm feeling a bit anxious because I've been having shortness of breath ever since I got my first dose of Covaxin. I did see a doctor, and they suggested I take Broclear and get an X-ray. I got the X-ray results back, and they were mostly normal except for this note about increased bronchovascular markings in both lung fields. Should I be worried about this? What does it mean, and what steps should I take next?
pulmonary function test, blood test

How can I check my breathing at home?
You may check breathing or oxygenation level by "Pulse Oximeter" which gives indirect clue on lung damage but keep in mind there are other medical conditions which may affect pulse oximeter readings.
