I'm really concerned because I've noticed a black spot on the head of my penis and around it for about 4 years now. There's no itching, but I'm really eager to get them removed. Can you please help me figure out what this might be and how I can get rid of it?

May be due to a condition called Fordyce spots, which are harmless and do not require treatment. However, if you wish to remove them, you can consider using topical treatments such as Retin-A cream or laser therapy. Please consult a dermatologist for proper evaluation and management.

View allI'm dealing with a boil on my arm, and it just won't stop leaking pus. Should I put anything on it or just let it be? Is it better to keep it open or should I cover it with a band-aid and wait for it to get better? I'm a bit worried about what to do.

I've been dealing with hair fall for around 4 years now. A dermatologist suggested I use minoxidil, first in 2%, then 5%. Initially, I wasn't told that I'd need to use it for a lifetime. My hair fall stopped, and I got some growth back, but a year ago, a friend mentioned that minoxidil could have side effects with long-term use. So, I stopped it, and my hair fall came back worse than before. My hair, especially in the front and on the crown, got really thin. I've started using minoxidil 5% again. Is there a chance my hair can grow back? Is it okay to stop and then start using minoxidil again? Are there any long-term side effects of using minoxidil for an extended period? Can I safely keep using minoxidil 5%?
Re-growing Hair_ 1. _Restarting minoxidil_: You've already restarted minoxidil 5%, which may help slow down hair loss and stimulate regrowth. 2. _Realistic expectations_: It may take 3-6 months to see noticeable results. Be patient, and don't expect complete regrowth. _Stopping and Restarting Minoxidil_ 1. _Rebound effect_: Stopping minoxidil can lead to a rebound effect, causing hair loss to accelerate, as you've experienced. 2. _Consistency is key_: To maintain the benefits of minoxidil, it's essential to use it consistently. _Potential Side Effects_ 1. _Itching, redness, and dryness_: Common side effects, especially during the initial stages. 2. _Unwanted hair growth_: Minoxidil can cause unwanted hair growth on other areas of the body. 3. _Cardiovascular effects_: Although rare, minoxidil can cause cardiovascular side effects, such as increased heart rate and blood pressure. _Long-term Use_ 1. _Consult a dermatologist_: Discuss the risks and benefits of long-term minoxidil use with a dermatologist. 2. _Monitoring_: Regularly monitor your blood pressure, heart rate, and overall health while using minoxidil. _Additional Tips_ 1. _Combine with other treatments_: Consider combining minoxidil with other hair loss treatments, such as finasteride (oral) or low-level laser therapy (LLLT). 2. _Maintain a healthy lifestyle_: Eat a balanced diet, exercise regularly, and manage stress to promote overall health and hair growth.
