I'm really thin and I've noticed that I'm very aware of my heartbeat. I can even see the muscle on the left side of my chest moving with it. I've done a Holter, ECG, and ECHO, and they all came back normal. Should I be concerned about this?

It's understandable to be concerned when you notice your heartbeat so clearly, especially when you're thin and can see the muscle movement on your chest. Since your Holter monitor, ECG, and echocardiogram (ECHO) all came back normal, this is reassuring and suggests that your heart is functioning well.

Key points to consider:

  1. Visibility of Heartbeat:

    • Being thin can make your heartbeat more visible and palpable, which is often normal.
  2. Palpitations:

    • Awareness of your heartbeat can sometimes be heightened by anxiety or stress.
  3. When to Seek Medical Advice:

    • If you experience symptoms like dizziness, chest pain, shortness of breath, or fainting, seek medical advice promptly.
  4. Regular Monitoring:

    • Continue regular check-ups as advised by your doctor to monitor your heart health.

If you remain worried or notice new symptoms, discussing this with a cardiologist or your primary care physician can provide further reassurance and guidance. For now, your normal test results are a positive sign that there is no underlying heart problem.

My mom recently had an angioplasty and her doctor originally put her on Abiflo, but now they've switched her to Syscan. Since the switch, she's been having some issues like itching on her lips and face, plus there's some swelling on her left foot. Should we be worried about these side effects?

how much does bypass surgery cost at sms hospital jaipur and can i use my bani fit or bhamashah card for it

The cost of bypass surgery at SMS Hospital in Jaipur typically ranges from ‚Çπ2,50,000 to ‚Çπ4,00,000, according to SMC Insurance. It's advisable to contact the hospital directly to confirm the exact cost, as it can vary based on individual patient needs and the specific procedures involved. Regarding payment options, while the Bhamashah card was previously a scheme, it has been replaced by the Chiranjeevi Yojana, which is a health insurance scheme for families in Rajasthan [Link: according to Policybazaar https://www.policybazaar.com/health-insurance/surgery/heart-surgery-cost-in-india/]. The Chiranjeevi Yojana may cover bypass surgery, but it's best to verify the specific details of your policy and if it covers the procedure at SMS Hospital. You can contact SMS Hospital or the Chiranjeevi Yojana helpline for confirmation.

I'm really worried because my father has an LVEF of 35% as per his 2D echo report. I'm trying to figure out what kind of treatment he might need. Should we be considering an angiography? He hasn't had a heart attack and doesn't feel any chest pain. I did some reading and think maybe it's arrhythmia because about three years ago, he nearly fainted while cycling due to stress. Since then, he's been on medication for hypertension. Could you tell me what steps we should take next?

Since the patients LVEF (left ventricular ejection fraction) is 35.. indicates that he is having severe heart damage .. Some of the causes uncontrolled hypertension , heart muscle diseasesex cardiomyopathy, heart attack and heart valve issues..Angiography is needed since echo report reveals severe heart dysfunction.Treatment invoves ACE inhibitors ,calcium channel blockers and beta blockers..
