I'm really thin and I've noticed that I'm very aware of my heartbeat. I can even see the muscle on the left side of my chest moving with it. I've done a Holter, ECG, and ECHO, and they all came back normal. Should I be concerned about this?

It's understandable to be concerned when you notice your heartbeat so clearly, especially when you're thin and can see the muscle movement on your chest. Since your Holter monitor, ECG, and echocardiogram (ECHO) all came back normal, this is reassuring and suggests that your heart is functioning well.
Key points to consider:
-
Visibility of Heartbeat:
- Being thin can make your heartbeat more visible and palpable, which is often normal.
-
Palpitations:
- Awareness of your heartbeat can sometimes be heightened by anxiety or stress.
-
When to Seek Medical Advice:
- If you experience symptoms like dizziness, chest pain, shortness of breath, or fainting, seek medical advice promptly.
-
Regular Monitoring:
- Continue regular check-ups as advised by your doctor to monitor your heart health.
If you remain worried or notice new symptoms, discussing this with a cardiologist or your primary care physician can provide further reassurance and guidance. For now, your normal test results are a positive sign that there is no underlying heart problem.

View allI'm having trouble breathing when I lie on my back, and I've been dealing with chest pain. There's no constant cough, but I do cough sometimes, and I haven't had a fever. I've also been experiencing nausea and the urge to vomit, along with shortness of breath. Every now and then, my head spins, and I start sweating and feeling numbness in my body. It's been about 57 days now with the breathing trouble, short breath, and chest painshould I be worried? Is it safe for me to visit a hospital right now?

I've been feeling my heartbeat really easily, especially when I'm trying to sleep. I've gone through all the checkups, including wearing a Holter monitor, and everything came back normal. But I still feel my heart, and sometimes it feels like there's a crushing sensation in my chest. What can I do to stop this from happening?

My dad has artery blockages and we're really confused between angioplasty and bypass surgery - which one would be better for his condition? The doctors gave us both options but we're not sure what to go with
Choice depends on blockage location and risk factors; angioplasty is less invasive, but bypass is better for multiple or complex blocks.
