I'm really worried about my aunt. She's dealing with COVID and her lungs are infected. Right now, she's on a ventilator in a private hospital. She doesn't have any other health issues like diabetes or high blood pressure; she just has thyroid problems. I have her HRCT scan report here too. The doctors mentioned she'll be on the ventilator for about 5 days. Can you tell me if she's going to be okay? How serious is her condition? Is this something she can recover from?

Your aunt's condition is serious since she is on a ventilator due to a lung infection from COVID-19, indicating significant respiratory distress. However, being on a ventilator for about 5 days is often part of the treatment plan to support breathing while the lungs heal.
Key points to understand:
-
Severity: Lung infection from COVID can be severe, especially with ventilator support, but many patients recover with proper care.
-
Thyroid condition: Her thyroid issues may affect her overall health but are usually manageable alongside COVID treatment.
-
Recovery: Recovery depends on factors like age, overall health, and response to treatment. Many patients recover fully after ventilator support.
-
Medical team: Trust the hospital team as they monitor her closely and adjust treatment as needed.
It's natural to feel worried, but many patients with similar conditions do recover. Stay in touch with her doctors for updates and support your aunt with positive thoughts and care.

View allI'm really concerned about my oxygen levels since I've tested positive for COVID-19. As of May 2nd, my oxygen level is at 92. The PCR results showed I'm COVID-19 positive with an E gene Ct value of 23 and an RdRp gene Ct value of 21. What do these Ct values mean? Should I be worried about the oxygen level too? Is there anything specific I need to do or look out for?

I'm really worried about this dry cough and breathing trouble I've been having for about a month. It's more noticeable at night or in the morning and worsens when there's smoke, like from an agarbatti. I get some relief with Divya Swasari cough syrup, but it doesn't seem to completely go away even though I'm on antibiotics from my physician. Could you help me figure out what's going on or suggest what else I might try to finally get better?
you might have bronchitis, take tablet amoxyclav for 5 days, twice a day

I'm really worried about my grandfather who was just admitted because of breathing problems. They put him on a ventilator, and I'm wondering if that's safe. Also, what are the chances of him pulling through after being on a ventilator? They did some treatment to clear out his mucus as well. Can you give me an idea of his survival chances?
Pulmonologist opinion is advised to the patient.
