I'm really worried about my friend who has sarcoidosis and bronchial asthma; the doctor recommended an inhaler and the medicine ecosprin AV75. I'm concerned about the possible side effects of ecosprin AV75. Also, how long should my friend keep taking it? Is it something they should continue indefinitely or stop at some point?

Ecosprin AV 75 is a combination medication containing Aspirin and Atorvastatin. It is commonly used to prevent heart attacks and strokes in patients with cardiovascular disease. Some common side effects of Ecosprin AV 75 include stomach upset, heartburn, dizziness, and easy bruising. In rare cases, it can also cause more serious side effects such as stomach bleeding or liver problems. The duration of Ecosprin AV 75 treatment should be determined by your friend's doctor based on their individual medical condition. It is important to follow the doctor's instructions regarding when to stop or continue the medication. In general, Ecosprin AV 75 is usually taken long-term to prevent cardiovascular events, but the duration may vary depending on the specific situation. It is important not to stop taking Ecosprin AV 75 without consulting the doctor first, as sudden discontinuation can increase the risk of heart attack or stroke.

View allIm thinking about getting a PFT test because my doctor suggested it for peace of mind. A few months back, I was dealing with thick phlegm and sputum due to bronchitis, and my doctor prescribed some meds that got me back to normal. But just to be safe, I'm considering a PFT test and maybe a CT chest scan and lung scan. Are the CT chest scan and lung scan the same thing, or are they different? Also, what should I do to prepare for them? Any advice would be really helpful.
For the confirmation of diagnosis ct chest is advised to the patient.

I've been coughing up a little bit of blood in the mornings for the last few weeks and also noticed some blood in my left nostril. I got a chest x-ray and PNS x-ray done, and they came back normal. My CBC and ESR are also normal. Should I be worried about this, or could it be something minor? What should I do next?

I'm experiencing a runny nose and occasionally a cough since yesterday, and now there's this wheezing sound coming from my chest. Could this be asthma? Should I consider using an inhaler, even though I'm not having trouble breathing?
