I'm really worried about my grandmother. She's 56 and has diabetes. Last year, while she was swallowing her prescribed pills, one got stuck in her food pipe. This went unnoticed until it happened a second time, so we thought it might be a stroke. We took her to an ENT specialist and all tests, like the CT scan, came back normal. But now it has happened twice again, first with pills and then with food. This time the doctor has suggested an endoscopy. We haven't done it yet. Could you help me understand what might be going on with her?

Usually in adults foreign body inside windpipe or lower down are expelled by powerful cough reflex. It's unlikely that it will stay in airway without any symptoms. Probably you have injured your upper airway while coughing. Usually it will resolve on its own within few days

I've been having gas troubles for the past 3 years, like burping a lot through my mouth and feeling the need to go to the bathroom, plus I'm losing weight. Every time it gets really bad, I see a doctor, but all they say is to eat food at the correct time. I've done blood tests, and they didn't find anything wrong. Now I'm down to just 47 kg and I don't have any stomach pain, just a little irritation. Can you suggest anything that might help?

My wife has an 18 mm stone in her gall bladder and sometimes she feels pain because of it. I'm wondering if there are ayurvedic treatments for this or if she will have to rely only on allopathic medicine.

For an 18 mm gallbladder stone, Ayurvedic treatments like certain herbs (e.g., Gokshura, Triphala) may help manage symptoms, but they might not dissolve large stones. Allopathic treatment, including possible surgery or non-invasive methods like lithotripsy, is usually recommended for stones of this size. It's best to consult a doctor for a personalized approach.

I'm a bit concerned because my bilirubin levels are slightly elevated at about 2.1. I really would prefer not to use antibiotics and I'm thinking of trying a natural remedy or supplement to help with this. Between Liv 52 and Milk Thistle, which one would be a better choice for me?

-Given that your bilirubin is slightly elevated at 2.1, both Liv 52 and Milk Thistle can support liver health. Milk Thistle is often recommended for detoxifying the liver and reducing inflammation. Liv 52 has a more comprehensive formulation for liver fun
