I'm really worried about my mom. She just turned 55, and we got her general blood examination results back yesterday. Her ESR value is at 42, which seems to be almost twice the normal range. I'm not exactly sure what this indicates. Could you help me understand what this means and what steps we should take next?

- Pongal with vegetables and nuts (500 calories)
- Whole-grain toast with avocado and banana (450 calories)

- Whole-grain chapati with vegetable curry and dal (550 calories)
- Mixed rice with vegetables, nuts, and seeds (500 calories)
Snacks
- Fresh fruits with nuts (150-200 calories)
- Yogurt with honey and granola (200-250 calories)
- Roasted chickpeas or makhana (100-150 calories)
Dinner
- Similar to lunch options, with a focus on complex carbohydrates, protein, and healthy fats.
Non-Veg Options (2 times a week)
- Grilled chicken or fish with brown rice and vegetables (500-600 calories)
- Lentil-based soups with lean meat or eggs (400-500 calories)

View allIve been having pain in my knees and the lower part of my feet, and it seems to happen mostly after sex, but at other times, Im okay. This started after I finished treatment for dengue last year, and its been coming and going ever since. Any idea what might be going on or how I can get some relief?
This could be due to general myalgia from muscle strain. You can opt for physiotherapy exercises for stretching the calf and thigh muscles. Cold compress and muscle relaxants can help alleviate the pain.

I'm a bit confused about the difference between Omnacortil 5 and Wyslone 5. My doctor prescribed Wyslone 5, but the pharmacy only had Omnacortil 5 available. Is there any issue if I go with Omnacortil 5 instead of sticking strictly to the prescription? I'm worried about getting the right treatment.
Both Omnacortil 5 and Wysolone 5 contain the same active ingredient, which is Prednisolone. They are both corticosteroids used to treat various conditions such as inflammation, allergic reactions, and autoimmune disorders. Therefore, there should not be a significant difference between the two medications. You can go ahead and use Omnacortil 5 as a substitute for Wysolone 5 as per your doctor's prescription. Just make sure to follow the dosage instructions provided by your doctor.

I'm really worried about this report I got. It says there's a swelling on the dorsum of my left hand, with lots of polymorphs and macrophages, along with some debris. The report mentions a negative result for acid-fast bacilli, and recommends a PCR test for M. tuberculosis and a culture and sensitivity test. I'm not sure what all of this means or what I should do next. Could you help me understand the situation and what the best steps are to take from here? I'm feeling pretty anxious about it.
