I'm really worried about the redness and deep pain at my IV site, and it's spread all over my arm. Can you suggest any home remedies to help with the swelling and inflammation?

you can try these remedies: Apply a cold compress Place a cold pack or ice on the area for 1020 minutes at a time, 23 times a day. Put a thin cloth between the ice and your skin. Elevate the area Keep the affected limb raised above your heart to reduce swelling and promote blood flow. Massage the area Gently massage the swollen area in a circular motion to help reduce swelling. Stay hydrated Drink plenty of water to help flush out excess fluids. Rest the area Avoid using the affected area for strenuous activities until the swelling goes down. Wrap with a compression bandage Wrap the area with a soft compression bandage to help control swelling, but make sure it's not too tight.

View allI've been dealing with typhoid for the past two months, and it's causing a bunch of issues like relentless weakness, headaches, and nerve pain. I'm really concerned because it doesn't seem to be getting better. Is this normal, or should I be worried about something more serious? What should I do to alleviate these symptoms?
Given your prolonged symptoms, consult your doctor about possible complications or relapse, and consider further testing (e.g., Widal test, blood culture) to determine the best course of treatment, which may include adjusting your antibiotic regimen or addressing potential underlying conditions contributing to your persistent weakness, headaches, and nerve pain.

I've noticed that every time I get a fever, malaria P. vivax seems to be the diagnosis, and I'm usually treated with Resochin 250mg and Basokuine. The problem is, it seems to come back again after some time. I'm really looking to find a way to prevent this from happening permanently. Any advice on what to do?
To prevent recurrent malaria caused by P. vivax, you will need a radical cure, usually with primaquine or tafenoquine, in addition to the standard treatment. Ensure you complete the full course of treatment, and take preventive measures to avoid mosquito bites and reinfection. Regular follow-up with your healthcare provider is essential to ensure there is no relapse. If you have frequent relapses, it's important to discuss this with your doctor, as they may recommend further investigation or a change in treatment approach.
