I'm really worried and need some advice. I had an Elisa HIV 1 and 2 test done 21 days after a possible exposure, and it came back negative at 0.006. Is that result conclusive, or should I think about getting tested again in 2 or 3 months? I only had oral sex and kissed the lips of a sex worker quite a few times. Am I still at risk?

I'm feeling quite anxious about my test results. My neutrophils are at 84, and my erythrocyte sedimentation rate is 23mmhr. I've also got a pus cell count of 5-6 hpf. The results show Salmonella typhi O and H both at 1:160, while Salmonella paratyphi A and B are negative. It says negative for dengue and malaria. My RBC count is 5.61 millioncmm, platelet count is 2.13 lakhscmm, and haemoglobin is 16.2 gdl. My WBC is at 7000 cellscumm. The doctor suggested that I get admitted, but I'm really pressed for time and can't afford to do that right now. What should I do?

I'm feeling really stressed and confused about a recent potential HIV exposure. I had protected sex with a prostitute on December 26th, 2021, and today is January 17th, 2022. I've been reading a lot about symptoms online, and it's freaking me out. I took an HIV test (4th generation abag p24) on the 10th day after the exposure, and it came back non-reactive, with an index value of 0.12. Does this mean I'm in the clear, or do I need to take another test on the 28th day, like my doctor suggested? He mentioned that if I'm negative on the 28th day, I can just move on, but I'm still unsure. Can you help clarify this for me?

Stay calm, follow your doctors advice, and get the test done at 28 days. It's likely that you are HIV negative, but waiting for the additional test will help to definitively confirm it. Avoid reading too much online about symptoms, as it may only increase stress and anxiety.

I'm really worried right now. I had sex with a sex worker and used a condom, but I'm anxious about the risks of HIV. Is there any chance of getting HIV if the outside of the condom touched my penis after ejaculation? Also, after I touched her vagina and then my penis, could that have been risky too? Another thing, I kissed her body but avoided her lips and vagina. Should I be concerned about that? Please help me figure out what to do next.
