Is there any chance you could get HIV from oral sex? And what about if you have sex using a condomdoes that completely prevent HIV, or is there still some risk involved? I'm kinda worried and would love some clarity on this.

View allI'm a bit worried about my rabies shots. I got 5 doses of the anti-rabies vaccine back in January after a dog bite, but turns out the dog didn't have rabies. Recently, another dog scratched my leg with its teeth, leaving just a scratch with a little blood. This happened about 10 days ago on October 1st. Should I get vaccinated again?
Since you've already completed the full anti-rabies vaccine series in January and the scratch wasn't deep or from a rabid dog, you likely don't need to take the vaccine again. However, if you're still concerned or have any doubts, it's always best to consult with a healthcare professional for peace of mind.

I've had some tests done for HIV after 3 months, and the results were non-reactive for both the 4th generation HIV test and the HIV RNA qualitative and quantitative tests. Does this mean I'm in the clear, or should I get them checked again? I've been experiencing some symptoms like swollen lymph nodes and a white tongue. Could these just be from stress, or should I be concerned?

I'm really concerned about finding reliable HIV testing methods. I've read about the 4th generation HIV 12 Antibodies and p24 Antigen test with a shorter window period of around four weeks after exposure. I live in Chennai and have tried to locate a lab or medical center that offers this test using the CMIA method but haven't had any luck so far. Do you have any suggestions on where I might find this test available in Chennai?
The 4th generation HIV 1 & 2 Ab and p24 Ag test by CMIA method is indeed a latest test for HIV testing with a short window period of about 4 weeks from exposure. Unfortunately, I couldn't find specific labs or medical centers in Chennai that offer this test. However, I recommend searching online for "4th generation HIV test in Chennai" or "CMIA method HIV test in Chennai" to find relevant options. You can also check with local hospitals or pathology labs to inquire about the availability of this test.
