I'm really worried because I accidentally drank lemon juice from a copper vessel this morning, and it made me vomit. Even after having lunch, I'm still not feeling great inside. Could this be something serious? Should I be concerned about any long-term effects or do you have any advice on what I should do next?

My mom has severe burning in her rectum but no blood in her stools. We thought it might be piles, but the doctor recommended surgery. What could be the exact issue and is surgery really necessary? Are there any effective ointments or tablets that could help instead?

The burning sensation in the rectum, especially if it's not related to blood in the stool, could be due to several conditions besides hemorrhoids, including anal fissures, proctitis, or even infections. While hemorrhoid surgery is sometimes necessary, it's not always the first line of treatment and other options should be explored. Topical creams, ointments, and in some cases, oral medications can provide relief and may be sufficient to manage the symptoms without surgery

I'm really concerned about some symptoms I've been experiencing lately. I've been feeling really fatigued, super sleepy, and I've had a few fevers now and then. I've also noticed some weight loss and hair loss, and I've been getting headaches. My ultrasound report says there's decreased echotexture of my liver, which they mentioned could be hepatitis. Could these symptoms all be related, and should I be worried about the possibility of hepatitis? What steps should I take next?

Based on your symptoms of fatigue, sleepiness, occasional fever, weight loss, hair loss, and headache, along with the ultrasound report showing decreased echotexture of the liver suggestive of hepatitis, this points to possible liver inflammation. I recommend further blood tests and a detailed evaluation to confirm the cause and guide treatment effectively.

I'm a 45-year-old woman having some trouble with gas and breathlessness. Whenever I get gas, my heart starts racing, I sweat a lot and feel cold, and I just can't breathe right. This can last up to 45 hours, and during this time, I'm stuck and can't move. It's only after I vomit and have to run to the bathroom 23 times that things settle down. But even after all that, my body hurts quite a bit. What could be causing this, and what should I do about it?
