Why am I still feeling this pain? I had a pleural effusion back in November 2017, and had thoracentesis done twice. All the tests came back negative and my doctor said it was viral. Now it's March 2018, and I'm still experiencing pain starting from my back moving up to my side and into my chest, especially when I cough, yawn, or take a deep breath. My dad tested positive for COVID and his oxygen levels went really low, all the way to 71. After spending two weeks in the hospital, hes back home now, but its been a month and his oxygen levels are still all over the place. Does this mean he hasnt fully recovered yet?
