I'm really worried because I've had a cold for the past four days with constant sneezing, a runny nose, headaches, and some body aches. Now I've noticed blood in my saliva after trying to spit I had to clear my throat a bit forcefully, and that's when I saw it. I also feel like my throat is really dry and there's a mild pain on the right side of my throat. The bleeding stopped after happening about 5 or 6 times, but I noticed it after drinking water. What's going on? I'm really scared and would appreciate your advice.

View allI've been dealing with chronic recurrent sinusitis that causes constant nose blockage, throat congestion, and occasional mild cough. It only gets better once all the mucus drains, but sometimes it takes weeks or even over a month to clear. I've tried Montecope, Sinarest syrup, and Allegra 120 without much relief. Steam inhalation helps a bit, but I really don't want to go for surgery. What else can I do to manage this chronic sinus issue?
To better manage your chronic sinusitis, consider implementing a more comprehensive approach. Focus on keeping sinuses moist, reducing inflammation, and addressing potential underlying causes. If symptoms persist, consider consulting an ENT specialist.

I've noticed that sometimes when I spit in the morning, there's a little bit of blood in it. But after one or two spits, everything seems normal. Should I be worried about this, or is it something that happens sometimes?

I'm really puzzled about this recent issue with my left ear. For the past four days, whenever I sleep, my left ear gets blocked, and I can't seem to hear out of it. I've tried switching from a soft pillow to a harder one, thinking that might be the cause, but it's still happening. In the mornings, I can get it to open by shaking my head for about 20 minutes, but I'm curious why this keeps happening just on the left side. Could you help diagnose what's going on and suggest any solutions?
You may be experiencing Eustachian tube dysfunction, which can cause a feeling of blockage in the ear. I recommend using a decongestant nasal spray such as Afrin (oxymetazoline) to help open up the Eustachian tube and relieve the blockage. You can also try taking an oral decongestant like Sudafed (pseudoephedrine) to help reduce congestion in the nasal passages. Additionally, using a saline nasal spray can help keep the nasal passages moist and aid in relieving the blockage. If the symptoms persist, it would be best to consult with an ENT specialist for further evaluation and management.
