I'm really worried because my husband has been noticing some blood when he spits every now and then for about a month, and it just doesn't seem to be getting better. We've done a bunch of tests like a chest X-ray, a stomach ultrasound, and even an endoscopy for his throat and nose, but everything came back normal. We're not sure what steps to take next or if there's something else we should be checking out. Have you got any advice on what might be happening or what we should do?

I'm really struggling with this issue, it's been going on for about a year and a half now. I've seen doctors, but nothing seems to be helping. For the past 12 years, I've had this issue where one nostril is always blocked while the other works, and they keep switching throughout the day. I also get frequent colds and nasal congestion almost 15 days every month. Right now, I rely on Allegra, saline sprays, and Flutira decongestants, but it's not a permanent fix. Could this be something that surgery can cure? What's the best long-term treatment for this?

Summary. Allergies, colds, environmental pollutants, and many other triggers can contribute to a blocked nostril on one side. Many people with other health conditions like a deviated septum or nasal polyps may notice that their nose is only stuffy on one side
