I've been dealing with this stubborn dry cough for nearly two months now. It's not the first time either I usually get it once a year. In the past, my doctor recommended this medication called Benocide fort, and it seemed to work. I know there's something about eosinophils being off balance with me, but I haven't done a blood test or taken Benocide fort yet this time. Nothing else is helping, and the cough is so bad that I'm getting chest cramps, especially at night and in the morning. What could be causing this, and what should I do?

Is it normal to feel the same pain I had before my thoracentesis, even though it's been 36 hours since it was done? I'm worried the pleural fluid might have come back.
