I'm a bit worried about my CT scan results. It mentions a left-sided pleural effusion extending to the infra scapular region, and there's some consolidation in the lower lung. Plus, it says something about the left dome being pulled up. Can you help me understand what all this means? Is it serious?

Pleural Effusion: This refers to fluid accumulation in the space around the lungs. It can cause breathing difficulties and may need further evaluation to determine the cause.
-
Consolidation: Indicates a region of lung tissue filled with liquid instead of air, often due to infection or inflammation. This requires medical attention to identify the underlying cause.
-
Left Dome Pulled Up: This suggests possible diaphragmatic elevation, which can be due to the pleural effusion or other factors.
-
Action: Consult your healthcare provider for a detailed assessment and appropriate management plan. Further tests or treatments may be necessary based on these findings.

View allI've been having a lingering cough, mucus, and this annoying chest pressure ever since I recovered from COVID about two months ago. It's really bothering me, and I'm not sure what to do about it. Should I see a doctor, or is there some over-the-counter medication that might help?
Syrup salbutamol 10 ml orally thrice daily is advised to the patient.

What can I drink to cleanse my lungs?
There is no scientific proof to methods available online to detox your lungs. Fortunately, Lungs are good at cleaning and repairing themselves unless there was any chronic damage done. You may follow some steps to keep the lungs healthy such as Quit smoking, avoid second-hand smoke, steer clear of pollution indoors & outside (Wear mask, use air purifiers), prevent lung infections (Hand washing, maintain distance from sick people, get flu/pneumonia vaccines), include anti oxidants in diet and do breathing exercises or any physical activity on regular basis.

I've been dealing with a persistent cough and heavy sputum production since I was diagnosed with TB and Sarcoidosis in November 2015. I completed my treatment by November 2016, but the symptoms haven't improved. The sputum is clear and seems to increase a lot right after I eat or drink anything. I'm really concerned and unsure about what to do next. Could you help me figure out what might be going on?
