I'm starting to notice these red spots on my neck, shoulders, chest, and even a few on my stomach. They're really itchy and seem to get worse when I'm out in the sun. The skin around these spots is also feeling rough and dry. They're spreading all over and I'm getting worried. What could this be?

I've just had a pretty scary experience while riding my bike a kite thread cut my face and now I've got this burning sensation. I'm really worried and unsure what to do next. Do I need to see a dermatologist right away, or is there any cream or medicine I can apply at home to help with this? Would love some quick advice on this.

I recommend cleaning the affected area with a gentle cleanser and applying an antibiotic ointment like Neosporin to prevent infection. You can also take an over-the-counter pain reliever like Tylenol to help with the burning sensation. If the pain or redness persists, it would be best to consult a dermatologist for further evaluation and treatment.
