I'm trying to understand the difference between the Dengue IgG and IgM tests and the dengue NS1 test. When should one be used over the other? Are they looking for different things, and does it matter how soon after symptoms show up that you take them?

The NS1 test detects the dengue virus NS1 antigen, while the IgM from 3-5days and IgG after 7 days to detect the dengue virus antibodies.

I'm feeling really anxious because a while back, I had a risky encounter with someone whose HIV status I don't know. It's been 180 days since then, and I did an HIV test on day 179. The test I took was the HIV 1 and 2 p24 CMIA, and the result came back negative with an index value of 0.09. I'm trying to understand more about the window period for HIV testing and whether the CMIA test is as reliable as the ELISA test. Also, does taking the test two days earlier, like on day 179, affect the accuracy at all? I had multiple tests throughout this periodone at three months with an index of 0.07 and another at day 42, which was also negative with the same index value. Can you help me make sense of all this?

Advised elisa hiv test at 6 months and at 1 year.

I'm looking at my husband's blood test results, and I'm a bit worried. It says he's rapid positive for Dengue Fever NS1 Antigen. The Antibodies Panel shows IGG as negative but IGM is weakly positive. Plus, his platelet count is quite low, showing 26.0 when the reference range is 150-410. Does this mean he definitely has Dengue? What should we do next?

you take medication.

I'm really worried because a dog licked a small scratch on my leg on July 10th, 2017. I started getting the rabies vaccine on July 12th, 2017, but then the dog died on July 14th, 2017. I completed all 5 doses by August 13th, but now I'm having some symptoms like shortness of breath and a mild fever. Should I be concerned about rabies even after finishing the vaccine?

continue your vaccination
