I'm a woman in my 50s and I've been taking Shelcal 500. Lately, I've noticed some changes in my skin and I'm wondering if this could be a side effect of the medication. How serious could these skin issues get? Should I be concerned?

I've been having this issue with recurring boils on my legs that seems to come and go. They always start as these tender red spots, and then they get hard and firm. Eventually, they become these abscesses filled with pus. This has been happening for about a year now. I've seen a physician for it and tried some antibiotics, but I'm still struggling with this. What could be causing these to keep coming back, and is there anything else I should be doing or asking my doctor about?
