I'm wondering how long a fever might last when you're going through tuberculosis treatment. Is it normal to have a fever for a while, and how severe can it get? At what point should I expect the fever to stop?

Fever during tuberculosis treatment can occur, especially in the initial phase, as your body adjusts to the medication. Typically, it should subside within a few weeks of starting the treatment. If the fever persists beyond that, it's important to consult your doctor for further evaluation.

View allI've been dealing with a cough for about 20-25 days, sometimes it's wet, sometimes dry. I even caught a cold twice during this time. Initially, it was just a mucusy cough, but now I've got this mild pain in my chest, mostly on the left side but sometimes on the right too, and my chest feels heavy a lot. The mucus changes color, sometimes dark and thick, other times light and yellowish, but no blood. Most of the cold symptoms are gone now and the mucus has lessened. I smoked for about four years, around 3 to 4 cigarettes a day, but havent smoked in over two months since things got worse. There's no family history of similar issues, and I haven't had a fever. Could this just be a chest infection or is it something more serious? Please let me know what you think.

I've been dealing with this constant cough and breathing issues for a few days now, even though I'm on a daily dose of Symbicort for my bronchitis asthma. I'm starting to get really worried because I'm not sure what else I can do. Can you recommend a good pulmonologist I could see, or suggest any other steps I might take to help manage this? It's been pretty stressful not knowing how to handle it.
