I'm worried about my 5-year-old daughter because she had severe vomiting and diarrhea about a week ago. The doctor suggested she take deworming tablets. I'm curious to know when it's absolutely necessary for kids to take these tablets. Do all children with an upset stomach need them? And are there any side effects I should be aware of?

View allI'm really worried about my son. He got tested positive for TB a couple of months back. He had a cough and fever then, and hes also been dealing with asthma and diarrhea for about two months. So, the doctor said its TB, IBD, and asthma, and hes on medication for all of it. Just last week, he had a mild fever and dry cough again, and now he's positive for COVID. I'm really confused about when he'll be eligible for the COVID vaccine and if it's safe for him to go back to school without it. Can you advise on what steps we should take next?
Pulmonologist opinion is advised to the patient.

I'm really concerned because my mom, my 17-month-old son, and I ate a mango that had these white maggot-like worms in it. My mom and I ended up vomiting afterward, and we even saw some of the worms still moving. I'm really worried about whether this could have any effects, especially on my son. Can you offer any advice on what I should do?
The worms you are describing may be parasitic worms that can cause health issues. You should consult a healthcare professional to get the proper diagnosis and treatment. In the meantime, you can consider taking Albendazole 400mg tablet as a deworming medication for adults. For your 17-month-old son, you can give him Albendazole suspension in a dosage appropriate for his weight. Make sure to follow the dosage instructions provided by the healthcare professional.
