I'm worried because an ant crawled inside my ear and ever since, I've been dealing with a headache. Should I be concerned about the ant being in there, and is the headache related to it? What should I do?

I've been having this pain in my neck and the upper side of my chest, and sometimes it hurts when I swallow. I'm kind of worried and not sure who I should reach out to for help. Could you give me some advice on what this might be and what kind of specialist I should see?

You can use throat lozenges for throat pain. It is also recommended to drink plenty of warm fluids and avoid spicy or acidic foods. If the symptoms persist or worsen, it is advisable to consult with a medical professional for further evaluation and management. Pain in the neck and upper side of the chest, along with pain during swallowing, could be due to inflammation or infection in the throat or esophagus. This could be caused by conditions such as pharyngitis, esophagitis, or even muscle strain. You can try taking over-the-counter pain relievers like Acetaminophen (Tylenol) for pain relief.

I'm really struggling with a post-nasal drip that's been giving me a sore throat for the last few days. It's making it so hard to sleep because of the pressure in my ear. I've tried stuff like Strepsils and gargling with salt water, which helps a bit but doesn't last. I've also been taking 5ml of Ambroxol Hydrochloride at night and added Ascoril LS as well as Maxtra P over the last couple of days since I thought maybe that's what's causing the sore throat. I don't have a runny nose, but I'm living in a place that gets dusty even with window filters. I'm a bit allergic too... Could all this dust and stuff be part of the problem? What else can I try for some more long-term relief?

You seem to be experiencing symptoms of post nasal drip with a sore throat, difficulty sleeping, and ear pressure. Since you have already tried some home remedies and medications, I would recommend the following treatment plan for you: 1. Continue with Ambroxol Hydrochloride 5ml once every night before sleep to help with mucus clearance. 2. Continue with Ascoril LS+ 5ml to help with cough and congestion. 3. Switch from Maxtra P to Levocetirizine 5mg once daily to help with allergies and post nasal drip. 4. Additionally, you can try using a saline nasal spray to help clear out your nasal passages. 5. It's also important to address the dust in your living environment by regularly cleaning and dusting to reduce allergen exposure. 6. If your symptoms persist or worsen, consider consulting with an ENT specialist for further evaluation and management. I hope this treatment plan helps alleviate your symptoms.
