I'm worried because I tore my frenulum a few days ago, and I'm wondering how long it'll take to heal. How can I tell when it's fully healed?
Answered by 1 Apollo Doctors
The healing time for a torn frenulum can vary depending on the severity of the tear. In general, it may take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks for the frenulum to heal completely. You will know it is healed when the pain and any bleeding have stopped, and the skin appears to be fully healed without any open wounds or scabs. To help with the healing process, you can keep the area clean and dry, avoid any activities that may cause further injury, and consider using over-the-counter pain relievers like ibuprofen to manage any discomfort. If you experience persistent pain, excessive bleeding, or signs of infection, it is important to seek medical attention.

Approximately 10% to 30% of individuals with unilateral undescended testis may experience infertility, with the risk escalating from 35% to 65% or higher for those with bilateral disease. If bilateral cryptorchid testes are left untreated, the infertility rate can exceed 90%.
