Is it possible to get IV antibiotics instead of oral ones for an umbilical hernia surgery in Ontario? I'm a bit worried about infection risks and wondering if IV antibiotics might be more effective are they an option here?

I'm really concerned about my recovery after having perianal abscess surgery on November 30th. It's been 8 days now, and I'm still seeing pus discharge; plus, there's a bit of pain after I have a bowel movement. I've been using Livoluk as a stool softener and doing sitz baths three times a day to help. Do you have any idea how much longer I might need to continue the wound dressing and how long it'll take for everything to fully heal up? I'm in the IT field and eager to know when I might be able to return to work. Any advice would be great.

I have a 7mm gallstone and was wondering if it can be treated with medicine or if surgery is needed. I had a normal delivery in December 2016 and am currently breastfeeding my baby if I need surgery, will I still be able to feed my baby?

A 7mm gallbladder stone may require surgical removal, especially if it's causing pain or complications. If you need surgery, it's essential to discuss with your doctor whether its safe to breastfeed post-surgery.
