I've been dealing with an abscess on my buttocks for the last 8 months, and it just won't go away. It causes a lot of itching, and now I've even noticed black spots appearing. It's really frustrating. What can I do to get rid of the abscess, the itching, and these black spots?

I've been dealing with the early stages of frontal male pattern baldness, and my dermatologist suggested a few treatments like Finpecia tablets, Keraglo men, F Clin shampoo, and Minopep solution. I've started with the first three and have complemented them with a nutrient-rich diet including sea cod liver oil, eggs, carrots, tomatoes, spinach, and green tea. Thankfully, I've started seeing improvements, like less hair fall and thicker hair. But I'm feeling a bit anxious about using Minopep solution. I've heard that once you start using minoxidil products, you have to keep using them indefinitely. Is that really the case? And does sticking to a good diet really make a difference for hair health?

Definitely balanced diet and sound sleep with adequate physical activity would help in having healthy hair, and you can use Minoxidil solution no need to worry about using it for long periods, you can stop using it when you are satisfied with your hair.

I've been dealing with vitiligo on my lips since 2007 and I've been using tacrolimus ointment 0.1 along with oral psoralen tablets, but I haven't seen any improvement. Is there anything else I should try or any advice you might have for my situation?

Vitiligo on lips since 2007, tacrolimus ointment 0.1% is being used at present along with oral psoralen tablet. But no any result. For vitiligo on the lips that has not responded to tacrolimus ointment and oral psoralen tablet, another treatment option to consider is topical corticosteroids. You can try using a potent topical corticosteroid like Clobetasol propionate ointment 0.05% twice daily on the affected areas of the lips. Additionally, phototherapy with narrowband UVB light can also be beneficial for treating vitiligo. It is important to continue treatment consistently and follow up with your healthcare provider for further evaluation and management.

What gets rid of a rash overnight?

We need to determine the cause of rash and then treat accordingly. If you get a red rash with itching , it may be mostly due to an allergy which can be relieved by applying Moisturiser, wet cloth or ice pack to the affected area. You may need to take some antihistamine medications too under doctor's supervision.
