I've been dealing with this annoying dry cough ever since I had a viral fever about a month ago. The cold was gone in about a week, but the cough is still sticking around. It's weird because some days it's just here and there, but other days it's pretty frequent. I can't figure out what's triggering it. It's my first time having a cough linger for almost a month. Luckily, it doesn't bother me when I'm sleeping, but it kicks in when I'm eating or talking. Should I be worried about this, or do you think it'll just sort itself out?

  1. Post-viral Cough: It's common for a cough to linger after a viral infection due to airway sensitivity. This usually resolves on its own.

  2. Possible Triggers: Your cough may be aggravated by talking or eating, possibly due to airway irritation or mild reflux. Avoid irritants like smoke.

  3. When to Seek Care: Consult a doctor if the cough worsens, lasts beyond 8 weeks, or is accompanied by symptoms like fever or shortness of breath.

  4. Self-care Tips: Stay hydrated, use a humidifier, and avoid cold air to ease symptoms.

Your cough likely stems from post-viral irritation and should improve. If symptoms persist or worsen, seek medical advice.

I'm dealing with a really heavy dry cough at night and it's gotten so bad that I can't sleep well. It's even causing stomach pain because I'm coughing so hard. This seems to happen a lot, like once a month, and then it sticks around for about two weeks. I've seen general physicians and they mention things like throat infections or seasonal changes, but it keeps coming back every month or two. I'm really trying to figure out what's causing this so I can find a permanent solution. What kind of specialist should I see to get to the bottom of this?

I'm 24 and have been on anti-tuberculosis meds for a while, and tomorrow is my last day of them. Been super disciplined with my meds, and luckily my tests showed no AFB after two months and my chest X-ray was clear. I'm taking R Cinex 600 and Benaadon 40, and I've been feeling alrightgood appetite, no nausea. But what's been bothering me for the past 45 days is this mild pain in my left chest, plus a dry cough that sometimes comes with phlegm. Is this something to worry about? Could it be related to COVID or is it just a normal thing that happens with TB? I'm really worried.

Normal,nothing to worry ok.

So Ive been checking my oxygen levels with an oximeter and it seems to start at 96 but then drops to 88 within just a couple of minutes. Im not showing any symptoms and I havent tested positive for COVID. Should I be worried about this or could it just be that the oximeter isnt working right?

Better to check with other oimetres,if its still showing the same get an ray doen and visit Physician for appropriate management
