I've been dealing with burps and these weird gurgling sounds in my throat for the past two months. Whenever I walk, take the stairs, or lie down, there's this liquid sound in my throat too. I have this mild dry cough and sometimes feel a bit breathless. Even though I had a chest X-ray a month ago that came back normal, I still get these random vibrations in my chest. I'm not sure what's causing all of this, but it's really tiring me out. Could you help me figure out what's going on?

I'm really worried about my jaundice, especially with my bilirubin levels at 15.3. I'm trying to figure out what foods are best for a faster recovery. Are things like eggs, bananas, bread, and roti okay to eat? And what foods should I stay away from? Also, I'm curious about which vegetables are safe for someone dealing with jaundice. Can you help me out?
To aid in faster recovery from jaundice with a bilirubin level of 15.3, it is important to focus on a well-balanced diet. Foods that are beneficial for jaundice recovery include those that are easy to digest and provide essential nutrients. It is recommended to consume foods that are high in antioxidants, such as fruits like papaya, apples, and pomegranate. Vegetables like spinach, carrots, and bottle gourd are also beneficial. Additionally, including whole grains like rice and oats in the diet can provide energy and aid in recovery. It is advisable to avoid fatty and fried foods, as well as spicy and processed foods, as they can be harder to digest and may put additional strain on the liver. It is best to avoid eggs, as they are high in fat and cholesterol. Bananas can be consumed in moderation, as they are easy to digest and provide potassium. Bread and roti can be included in the diet, but it is important to choose whole grain options for added nutritional benefits. Overall, a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains, while avoiding fatty and processed foods, can support the recovery process for a jaundice patient with a bilirubin level of 15.3.

I've recently had my gallbladder removed due to gallstones, and before the surgery, I was experiencing high levels of SGOT, SGPT, and bilirubin. An endoscopy confirmed the gallstones, leading to the surgery. Now, after the surgery, I've had three liver function tests over a 10-day period. While the SGOT and SGPT levels are back to normal, my bilirubin total is still around 2.3. Is this normal after having my gallbladder removed?
After gallbladder removal surgery, it is not uncommon for bilirubin levels to be slightly elevated. However, a total bilirubin level of around 2.3 may still be within the normal range depending on the reference values used by the laboratory. It is important to monitor your bilirubin levels closely and follow up with your healthcare provider for further evaluation if needed. In the meantime, you can consider taking medications like Ursodiol to help with bile flow and digestion post gallbladder removal.
