I've been dealing with macular amyloidosis for two years now and nothing seems to work creams, meds, nothing. Are there any surgical options like dermabrasion or chemical peels that could help? I'm worried about safety but also really want something that actually works. What do you suggest?

While topical treatments are the first line of defense for macular amyloidosis, dermabrasion and chemical peels are sometimes considered as options, but they carry risks and should be discussed with a dermatologist. Other surgical options like laser therapy, specifically Nd:YAG laser, have also been shown to be effective. It's crucial to consult with a dermatologist to determine the safest and most appropriate treatment plan for your specific case, as individual results can vary

View allI'm dealing with back acne that's leaving scars, and my doctor suggested I take Restreta twice a day before meals. I'm a bit concerned and curious; what exactly does this medication do?
1. *Acne treatment*: Primarily used to treat severe acne, including back acne, by reducing oil production and preventing clogged pores. 2. *Preventing scarring*: By treating acne, Restreta helps prevent scarring and hyperpigmentation. 3. *Reducing inflammation*: Isotretinoin has anti-inflammatory properties, which help reduce redness and inflammation associated with acne.

Is there a different brand I can use instead of Dipsalic lotion? Also, are betamethasone and clobetasol basically the same thing when they're used as a lotion on the scalp with salicylic acid? Just trying to figure out if there's a suitable alternative or if they work differently.

I've been struggling with acne vulgaris for quite a while now. I've been using Screen 70, Zyclin Nanogel, and Adalene Nanogel for a year, but I haven't seen much improvement. Do you think cutting out dairy could help? And is Skinlite cream a good option for dealing with acne scars?
