I've been dealing with a persistent cough for the past two months and I'm honestly not sure what's going on. I went to see a general doctor but unfortunately, there's been no improvement. What could be causing this, and what should I do next?

I've been feeling this odd pain when I take a deep breath, almost like a sharp sensation in my chest. Sometimes, it even hurts a little when I'm not breathing deeply, which is kind of worrying. I'm trying to figure out what could be going on here. Could this be something serious, or is it something I shouldn't worry too much about? Any advice on what I should do next?
